Primed K9 was founded on a deep respect for the bond between dogs and humans, and a relentless drive to bring out the best in both.

Julio, the trainer behind Primed K9, began his journey with a pup named Tex and a spark of inspiration from his relative’s German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois. With no formal background, he dove headfirst into the world of dog training—guided by some of the most respected trainers in the South. As Tex progressed, so did Julio’s passion and skill. What started as a personal project quickly became a calling. He began helping friends and family, rehoming dogs in need, and realizing the powerful impact of proper training.

Julio’s dedication and work ethic soon led him to pursue a career in protection sports. In an accomplishment that’s nearly unheard of, he became a certified PSA decoy at his very first camp…with only three months of experience. This rare achievement reflects not only his natural talent but also his commitment to mastering his craft.
